Dirac s.r.l. – Albero air

Client: Albero air purifier – Dirac s.r.l.
Date of realization: February 2021
Project type: Design concept and 3D prototyping for the filter drawer and ventilation grille of the air purifier Albero air
Role: Design, 3D product prototyping and architectural visualisation

Air purifier tree inner core design

ias:atelier, a renowned design studio, was commissioned by Dirac s.r.l. to redesign the inner core of the Tree air purifier. The goal was to create an air purifier that not only worked efficiently, but also looked elegant in any interior space. The result was a sophisticated four-stage system that provides clean air without being obtrusive.

The advanced four-stage system

The new Albero air purifier features a four-stage filtration system that ensures that the air in any indoor space is clean and healthy to breathe. The system begins with suction, which draws in air from the surrounding environment. The pre-filtration stage removes large particles that may be present in the air, such as dust and pet dander.
The second stage of the filtration system involves the activation of UV light. This stage helps eliminate any harmful bacteria, viruses or other microorganisms in the air. The third stage involves the release of harmless molecules that help create a healthy respiratory environment. These molecules work together to eliminate any pollutants or allergens left in the air.
Finally, in the fourth stage, the air is analyzed at the end of the photocatalytic treatment. Sophisticated analysis software sends the data to central servers for user analysis and knowledge. This analysis ensures that the air is clean and healthy to breathe.

Redesign of the filter media housing

ias:atelier also redesigned the filter holder housing to reduce production costs and achieve greater aesthetic consistency. The new housing is stronger and easier to assemble, reducing production time and costs. The new design also ensures that the filter remains firmly in place, providing maximum filtration efficiency.
In addition, the redesign of the filter holder housing has made filter replacement easier. Users can now replace the filter quickly and easily, without the need for special tools or equipment. This ease of use ensures that the air purifier remains efficient over time, providing clean, healthy air for years to come.

Redesign of the upper grille

The top grille of the new Tree air purifier has also been redesigned. The micro-perforated aluminum grille complies with extra-European air exhaust constraints, ensuring the air purifier complies with international regulations. The new grille design also ensures quiet air expulsion without any annoying noise.
The new grille design also adds an aesthetic touch to the air purifier. The micro-perforated aluminum grille is elegant and blends perfectly into any interior space. This attention to detail ensures that the air purifier is not only functional but also aesthetically appealing.

Conclusion

The redesign of the inner core of the Tree air purifier has resulted in a product that is elegant, safe, and can provide clean air without being obtrusive in any interior space. ias:atelier has contributed its expertise in product design and industrial manufacturing processes, paying attention to environmental sustainability standards, to help Dirac s.r.l. strengthen its presence in international markets.
The advanced four-stage system, redesign of the filter holder housing, and redesign of the top grille contribute to the overall efficiency and aesthetics of the air purifier. The new Tree air purifier is a sophisticated and elegant solution to indoor air pollution, providing clean and healthy air for years to come.
